Writer's Blog: Issue 13

This week’s we are featuring Riley Mulvihill’s winning entry in Ms O’Boyle’s 50 word story competition, which she ran with her Year 8 Learning Team.  The theme was 'Truth be Told', the theme for Writer's Week.?Mrs Jan Fuller of the Thomas Library was the judge for this competition, and chose Riley's story because she could relate to the events and liked the clear structure of Riley's narrative. Congratulations Riley! 

The Stash 

Pulling out the stash trying not to make a sound, carefully unwrapping the sweets. The darkness of the sky was calming. Quietly stuffing our faces. We heard footsteps, in a panic we hid the evidence in a hole on the back of the couch. Left there to rot forever.
